Two years after selling select 3D printers in stores in Europe, office supply and services giant Staples is now trying the concept in Latin America. Staples will be offering the new T-Element 3D printers manufactured by Trimaker and in addition, Staples Barrio Norte's store will open a 3D-printing copy center.


Buenos Aires, Argentina based Trimaker, the company behind T-Black DLP 3D printer introduces today their new FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printer: T-Element. The T-Element is an affordable, simple and robust printer with one extruder. It is fully assembled, calibrated and comes with an accessory kit for post-processing of 3D printed parts and cleaning of the printer.

The resolution of the Trimaker Element is 100 microns (0.1 mm). And the possible print speed is around 30 to 50 mm per second.

  • Filament: 3mm ABS, PLA, HIPS, Laybrick ,Laywood , Nylon, PETG (Polyethylene terephthalate glycol), POM (Polyoxymethylene), PS (Polystyrene), PVA, TPE (Thermoplastic rubbers)
  • Extruder: Metal / Max. temperature: 300 °C
  • Resolution: Min: 0.3mm / Max: 0.05mm
  • Heated platform
  • Engines: NEMA 17 (1.8A)
  • Printer size: 50x47x40 cm

From June the 9th the T-Element Kit can be purchased either in Staples' retail stores or through their website www.staples.com.ar for a price of ARS$ 24.499 - (US$3,014) with the option of no interest if paid in full in 12 months. The Kit includes the printer, one kilogram of filament, software and free training in Trimaker factory. The Staples store in Barrio Norte will also offer its customers the possibility to 3D-print their models at their Copy & Print Center.
