Airwolf 3D, a California-based 3D printer manufacturer, has announced the release of EVO 22 Large Format Desktop Additive Manufacturing Center. This latest 3D printer is optimized for 3D printing large parts out of ABS, soluble-support, polycarbonate, etc.

"We're often asked what makes our machines different," said Airwolf 3D Co-Founder and CEO Erick Wolf. "Other machines in this price class simply don't offer the same level of performance and quality, whether it is because their beds and hot ends fail to reach and sustain the temperatures required for pure, engineering-grade filament or they cut corners and use flimsy construction that, again, can not support advanced industrial desktop manufacturing."

The EVO 22 is built on the same technology as the original EVO, but with a beefed-up build volume: a full 3,276 cubic inches: 12" x 12" x 22.75", 305 mm x 305 mm x 578mm. The beauty of the EVO 22 is that it utilizes EVO technology, such as the Tri-Heat Build Environment, the high-torque planetary extruder assembly, an unbreakable three-bolt-reinforced hot end, and the EVO’s patent-pending, 100% aluminum unitized enclosure and combines it with a huge build volume.

Comprised of two built-in chamber heaters and a high-temperature print bed, rated for 160 degrees Celsius, the Tri-Heat Build Environment gives users greater control over the machine's internal ambient temperature, allowing them to create the ideal thermal environment for supporting large part production.

It also boosts a built-in HEPA and carbon air filtration system, PartSave and FailSafe features to ensure that your print will continue, even if you run out of material or need to purge a clogged hot end. In addition, the EVO 22 large 3D printer ships with the GENESIS Board, patent-pending 100% aluminum unitized frame, one-piece stainless steel bed frame, ball screw Z stage, and linear-guide-based CoreXY motion system.

The EVO 22 Additive Manufacturing Center is available for $11,995.00 from Airwolf 3D and its authorized resellers. The new machine is scheduled to start shipping in September 2018.
