This year Alfa Romeo comes to the Geneva Motor Show with a spectacular booth and the world première of the Alfa Romeo 4C, complete with a turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine.
The Alfa Romeo 4C gets carbon fibre details throughout the car, aluminium and rear-wheel drive to enhance the sports appeal of the new car to the full. Power and torque figures of the Launch edition have been confirmed at 237bhp and 258lb ft and its weight has been kept down to around 895kg. It is claimed to have a top speed of around 190 mph and a sub-4.5 second 0-62 mph time.
At the Geneva Motor Show 2013 fans of the Brand can get all kinds of original experience of the car. In addtion fans can go home with 'a piece of 4C'. In the exhibition hall two latest-generation 3D printers, RepRap Prusa Mendel i3, are installed and printing a limited series of classy gadgets in PLA.
Visitors who wish to have their own unique and customised 3D prints free of charge can register on 4C.alfaromeo.com. Once at the booth, visitors will be invited to select the colour of the reserved item. The 3D printers will be producing, in real-time throughout the show in Geneva from the 7th until the 17th of March. This unique experience at 2013 Geneva Motor Show is conceived by Seac02, and implemented with the collaboration of Fablab Torino, the first Italian 'fabrication laboratory'.

The RepRap Prusa Mendel i3 the latest version of the Prusa Mendel, it is not "officially" launched, but all source material are available on GitHub here and many people are using it already. It has simpler design, more easier to build than the previous version. The i3 comes with the standard 20x20cm heatbed and can print up to 25cm tall objects. The main improvements made upon the Prusa Mendel Iteration 2 include enhanced frame rigidity (prevents x backlash), easy assembly and parametric files for multiple sizes/bearings or bushings.
The RepRap Prusa Mendel i3 is still under heavy development. The new version will be more user friendly and more sellable for vendors, says designer Josef Prusa.
