Jul.24, 2013

Here is an exciting and fun challenge for you: the upcoming 2013 IDSA conference will be launching a design contest, "The Launch Day 2013 competition" - Design a 3D-printed car to launch down a ski-slope track at the conference in Chicago.

10 best designs will be selected before the conference based on two criteria:
-Using unique attributes of 3D printing
-Aesthetics: beauty / fun / thematic

These 10 designs will be 3D printed and launched on the final day of the conference, Saturday, Aug. 24 - they will then ride down a ski-jump track and fly! And the winner will win a brand-new 3D printer!

So submit your design by August 12th, and runners-up will receive a $100 gift card to use on Inventables.com. The prizes will be based on three criteria:
-Best flight (distance / style)
