Loveland, Colorado based Aleph Objects announces today the release of its fifth generation TAZ 3D desktop printer: TAZ 2. TAZ serie 3D printer offers a large build area: approximately 12" X 11" X 10" (305 x 279 x 254 mm) and the ability to swap out or modify nozzles. TAZ 2 is an upgraded version of TAZ 1 and it comes with a LCD screen with a SD card reader that allows users to make prints without being attached to a computer.
- Supported Materials: ABS, PLA, HIPS, PVA, and wood filaments
- Print resolution: 75 micron
- Print speed: 200mm/s
The TAZ 2 has the same price tag as the TAZ 1, $2,195, and it can be pre-ordered through Oct. 31 via crowdfunding platform Fundable. The TAZ 2 has raised $235,815 on the Fundable platform and the initial shipments begins in November 2013.
