As of tonight, Amazon will be launching the third instalment of its Prime Day summer shopping event. The sale, which will run through to Tuesday, July 11, is offering customers loads of hot deals, including many for 3D printing products.
Available to Amazon Prime customers only, the Prime Day deal will feature hundreds of thousands of deals ranging from books, home appliances, tech, and excitingly, 3D printers.
Just by looking at Amazon’s list of Prime Day deals sneak peak list, it’s apparent that they’re not kidding around. Echo products will be featured for as much as 50% off, and 3D printing enthusiasts will have the chance to buy the RepRap Guru 3D printer at a 30% price reduction.
The DIY RepRap Guru Prusa I3 V2, which features a 203 x 203 x 178 mm (8 x 8 x 7 inch) build volume and a solid average rating of 4.4 stars, will be on sale for just $230 on Prime Day.
In Germany, Amazon will reportedly also offer a slew of 3D printing deals, including sales on XYZPrinting’s DaVinci 2.0A, miniMaker, and Junior 3D printers, as well as its handheld 3D scanner. The Dremel IdeaBuilder 3D printer will also be featured on Prime Day.
That’s all we know for sure right now, but once Prime Day is launched, Amazon promises that new sales will be added regularly (as soon as every five minutes, apparently!). We’ll certainly be keeping a close eye on what other 3D printing sales will pop up on the online shopping platform.

Another exciting thing about this upcoming Prime Day is that the company will be using its Prime Air cargo planes for the first time in the U.S. The aicraft, which are reportedly fueled and ready to go, will help the company to dispatch and deliver its products in the fast times it promises.
“Our teams have been working for months to source exciting and interesting deals," commented Greg Greeley, Vice President, Amazon Prime. "Our fulfillment centers are loaded with products, our operations associates are ready, and our transportation partners around the world are excitedly waiting for the first Prime Day order. This Prime Day, our Prime members will find hundreds of thousands of deals on everything they’re into—from beauty fans to bookworms and gamers to gardeners.”
Amazon’s third annual Prime Day will kick off earlier than expected, launching at 6pm PT / 9pm ET today, June 10. Prime shoppers will have 30 hours to take advantage of the sales. Dedicated shoppers can keep track of new 3D printing related deals on reddit.
