Dutch 3D printer company Leapfrog launches the Xeed last week, and will take the 3D printer on a tour in the coming weeks.
The Leapfrog's Xeed can fully operate stand-alone. No need to install any additional software or hook up a computer. When the onboard tablet receives an STL file via email it will automatically convert the file and print the object.

- Max. print volume: 20.8 liter
- Positioning accuracy: 0.012 mm
- Layer thickness: 0.05 - 0.35 mm
- Weight: 75kg

- Speed X and Y axis: up to 1 m/sec
- Extrusion speed: up to 170 mm/sec
- Production speed: 6 cm3/min

There's nothing about this machine up to competing with industrial printers. It's just a larger rep rap. It looks very poorly built from every single photo.

This machine is targeted at the industrial market to compete again the statysis FDM machines. If you are complaining about pricing, it's much less than the Stratysis units and uses open source materials.

fancy aluminium enclosure with reprap technology, how amazingly.... overprized...... I would rather buy bunch of ultimakers or even makerbot machines than pay all that money for this rip-off!

The inclusion of a cheap $60 resistive screen tablet from china for sure makes this worth $13,000. FOR SURE. VALUE ADD
