In the latest episode of the Ben Heck Show, Ben explains in greater detail his latest 3D printer project. Ben Heck is originally known in the hacking/modding community for his portable PS3 and Xbox360 Laptops and custom controllers for disabled players. He is a graphic artist and taught himself electronics.

In the video below Ben Heck talks about fitting custom 3D printer in briefcase that measures 18 x 14 x 4.2 inches. He showed the improvements made to the original version, for example the use of a Birdstruder for easier access to the filament, a control panel, a SD card slot, etc. Ben Heck is thinking about making an improved version for kickstarters but before that check out the video below Ben Heck explains the idea behind the portable 3D printer.
